National Badminton Champion Aarju with International Badminton Star Saina Nehwal.

National Gold Medalist Badminton Star Aarju won the 36th National Badminton Championship organized by Sports Authority of India at Agra from 13-17 of December, 2010. She also won the Gold in Under Fourteen 34th National Badminton Championship held at Mandi in December, 2010. Arju Thakur won 18 HP State Badminton Tournaments from 2003 to April, 2011. She belongs to village Ghalja of Sangrah Tehsil, Himachal Pradesh. Her father and Coach Inder Singh conducting Man Renuka Badminton Academy at Dadahu and she practice regularly in the Academy. To become a International Badminton Champion she desperately needed coaching from International standard well reputed Badminton Academy like Gowardhan Academy of Hedrabad. According to Coach of the Academy Mr. Aarif she have to dedicated 5 to 10 months for become skilled International standard (Shuttler) Badminton Player. Fee for taking such coaching Academy demanded Rs. 30,000 per month. Her parents can not expend  such huge amount on her. Recently Divya Himachal News provided her Rs. 21,000 in first installment and started Help Line for her coaching. Minister of Industry H.P. awarded her on the occasion of District level Republic Day-2011 at Nahan. Youth Congress organized a special Function at Sangrah on 27th of February, 2011 to Felicitate Arju for her extra ordinary contribution in the field of Badminton. She was awarded by State Secretary of Youth Congress Dinesh Azad chief guest of function. Himachal Pradesh BJP Mahila Morch also Awarded Aarju at Dadahu on occasion of International Women's Day-2011. She had been awarded by Ex Minister of H.P. and BJP leader Shyama Sharma at Dadahu on 8th of March 2011.
