warm Welcome to him on arrival. BJYM Local Unit awarded Minister with
Traditional Sirmouri Weapon Dangra before road show. After traditional welcome,
Short Get-together, and Press Conference in Sangrah Mr. Oram addressed the
closing ceremony of Man Bhangaini Festival at Haripurdhar. Tribal Affairs Minister announced that
Government of India will declare Giripar/ Trans-Giri as tribal area after
fulfill the permissible conditions. He supposed that Congress roiling
Government of Himachal is accountable to backwardness of Sangrah, Shillai and
Rajgarh Blocks of Transgiri. Tribal Affairs Minister also discuss about status
report of Kinkri Devi Park (किंकरी देवी पार्क संगड़ाह) with local public
reprehensive. Member of Parliament Prof Virender Kashyap, MLA Baldev Tomar, MLA
Suresh Kashyap, BJP Leaders: Chandermahan Thakur, Yuwraj Bodh, Pratap Tomar,
Vijendar Sharma and SDM Sangrah Rajnesh Kumar etc. were also with Mr. Oram
during visit. Jual Oram (born 22 March 1961) is a member of the 16th Lok Sabha of India. He represents the Sundargarh constituency of Odisha and is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was also a member of the 12th, 13th and 14th Lok Sabha.
127 Panchayats of Giripar are demanding Tribal
status for this region since 1967 and many political leaders had been given
their Assurance to accomplish the ultimatum. The Hatti Community of sirmaur
district that has 127 panchayats in Rajgarh, Shillai, Sangrah, Kamrau and
Paonta Sahib area fulfills all eligibility conditions laid down by Lokur
Committee for declaring the area as Scheduled Tribe area as Hatti community
lead a separate and excluded existence and are not fully assimilated into
modern mainstream society due to tough geographical and topographical
conditions and limited avenues of employments due to lack of modern educational
facilities in the area. It is noticeable that survey reports have repeatedly
recommended granting of tribal status to area on the pattern of Jaunsar-Bawar
area of adjoining Uttrakand state. Both regions shared same lifestyle, culture
and traditions but the later was granted tribal status when it was shifted to
Uttar Pradesh in 1967 but Trans Giri area was not ranted the tribal status
despite facts favouring it.
