Budechhu Dance

Budechhu Dance an oldest Folk Dance or Folk Theater of Transgiri area (Sangrah, Shilai n Rajgarh Block of Sirmaur District) in Himachal Predesh. The dance has been performed since hundreds year by  a special community of aria called Budechhu, Budu Party n Budayachu  etc. Budichhu Dance is an  rear n endangered  dance now. New generation is not taking interest in the Dance n no Origination, Government Department or NGO trying to protect Budichhu Dance. The Dance is performs during Diwali Chodash, Podoi, Dooj, Teej, Choth n Boodi Dyali  Festival  of  area. Every  Budu Party have about 20 members n The dance is performed without any charge by Budechhu. There are only about 80 Budu Parties now in area or state which is performing Veer Gatha, Devstuti, Ballads,  Sonnets n Oldest Love Stories of  Sirmour State.   

Sangrah Town is about 63 K.M. from Nahan, 65 K.M. from Rajgarh and 25 K.M. from Reenuka Ji (By Road). H.P. Sangrah College, Tehsil Office, BDO, HDO, ADO, BSNL Office, Police Station, Old House of National Awarded Kinkri Devi, Jawga Hils, Jawga Helipad and Lord Vijat–Shiva Temple are the main attraction/Place of Sangrah. There are 41 Panchats in Sangrah Development Block and Tehsil. Population of Sangrah Town is about 6,000 and height is 6,700 Fit. Budechhu, Dhakuli, Nati,Geeh, Thoda Fight and Pudua are the Famous Folk Dance of this area. The main crops/cash crops of  Sangrah Tehsil are Maize, Wheat, Gram, Palsies, Tomato, Potato, Ginger, Pees and Garlic. Fruits Apple, Banana, Mango, Dry Fruits and Peach are grown over here.
